Back in the spring of 2018, we decided to make a test and see how well will a data-backed news article be distributed by the local media. In order to do so, we collected data about the quality of newly built apartments in Bucharest, a hot subject around that time, analyzed them for patterns and trends and released our conclusions as a collection of data visualizations as well as a press release. In just 24 hours the article reached most of the big Romanian news outlets, thus confirming to us that data can be a very convincing argument for deciding to communicate a story or not.
